1. Certifications

WHAT ISO STANDARDS DO I NEED?

  • There are over 22,000 different management standards, therefore finding the ones that are right for your business can sometimes be confusing. The best place to start is ISO 9001 quality management, as this is the core standard that most of the other well-known standards are based on. It’s focused on customer service and ensuring your customer receives the service they want, at a time that’s relevant for a cost that’s fair.
  • Based on your company’s activities there may be additional ‘bolt on’ standards that might complement the business i.e. as waste and recycling company may benefit from the ISO 14001 environmental management as this is a fundamental element for their industry, or a manufacturing business might benefit from the ISO 45001 health and safety as they use lots of heavy machinery which could have risks associated. WHY WOULD I WANT ISO CERTIFICATION?

  • ISO certification is a statement to your stakeholders, employees and senior management that the business wishes to operate to a set framework in order to achieve its company objectives. Be this customer satisfaction objectives, production objectives or environmental objectives etc.
  • For example by running a quality management system, a company can stay in control of its processes and procedures, ensure if anything does go wrong it is rectified quickly, efficiently and to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Many public and private sector tenders request ISO certification as either a pre-requisite to moving to the next stage or as a filter to remove companies from the tender process. By achieving the ISO certification that your customers give weight to, ensures that you are on a ‘level playing field’ with your potential competitors and improves your chances of successfully tendering.

HOW DO I OBTAIN ISO CERTIFICATION?

  • Our main ethos is to keep the process for you, the customer, as simple as possible. We undertake an initial assessment of the company, to see where the company currently stands with regards to the chosen ISO system. From this we make a series of recommendations on what needs to be done to become compliant (we will not make any major procedure changes unless absolutely necessary).

We will then draw up a plan for implementing the recommendations (to be completed over the next 6-12 months), complete as many of them for you as possible, write your manual and mandatory standard operating procedures (as required by the standard) and then 6-8 weeks after the first initial assessment visit come back to present the manual with your ISO certification.

You will be certified from this point forward. The systems are focused on continual improvement, therefore we will visit you on a regular basis to ensure that you are on track with the recommendations and ready for re-certification year on year.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO ACHIEVE ISO CERTIFICATION?

  • We aim for a 6-8 week delivery period, but again this can vary from organisation to organisation. We will never delay the process, however we understand that things can happen that may mean you require a small delay. We will accommodate this where possible; however for those who are looking to achieve the certifications as soon as possible, we will endeavour to ensure you obtain your certification within our standard timescales. After the quotation has been accepted and the deposit payment has been received we offer all of our clients a letter that you can send to your potential clients or include with tenders, to confirm that you have entered the process and that you will be fully certified within 6-8 weeks. This is normally sufficient to move forward with a tender process. This can then be followed up by an announcement letter stating that you have achieved the ISO certification.

WHAT DOES ISO CERTIFICATION COST?

  • ISO Certification costs vary dependent on the size of an organisation and the level to which the company is already run with regards to processes and procedures. If you decide to implement more than one standard at the same time, there are some preferential fees available. We are a fixed fee organisation, which means once we have met you to discuss your requirements and sent you a formal quotation, this fee is then set. We will not charge you any extra then what is specified, so that you know from the outset your costs and the payment method. Due to our proposals being bespoke and the number of variables that can affect the cost of implementation, we do like to meet our potential clients so as to get to know them a little better before providing them with costing.

AUDITOR COMPETENCE?

  • Most of the auditors working with us from last 05-10 Years and having good understanding and knowledge regarding the workplace and implementations.
  • We have been accredited from UKAS as well as PNAC and having Strong Competence criteria.
  • Auditor has good understanding and knowledge regarding the workplace and implementations.
  • We can share CV of the required auditor.

WHAT WILL BE THE METHODOLOGY?

  • On-site audits

These Types of audits are performed in full days. The number of days needed for an audit depends on several factors including size, complexity, risk, and nature of an organization. The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) has provided guidelines for registrars to calculate audit time.

  • Remote audits:

These audits may be performed via web meetings, teleconferencing or electronic verification of processes. Remote audits are less common and typically not as effective as on-site audits.

  • Self-audits:

These audits do not always mean an internal audit but can be internal audit. A self-audit can be requested of your customer to eliminate the need for them to use their resources and still offer some assurance that you are meeting requirements.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STAGE 01 AND STAGE 02?

  • Stage 1: We review documentation according to standard, if there any nonconformity is found , then it should be clear, so after this stage 2 audit will be conducted
  • Stage 2:  Everything, documentation is checked and procedure is implemented according to standard by considering documentation.

DO YOU PROVIDE 3RD PARTY INSPECTION/CERTIFICATION?

Yes, we provide a variety of 3rd party inspection/certification services within Pakistan to leading companies in Oil & Gas sectors as well as to the Construction companies.

WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU CERTIFY?

We provide inspection and load testing services for all type of lifting equipment & appliances (e.g. Fork lifter, Mobile Crane, Elevator lifts, Vehicles involving load, Overhead Cranes, Slings, Wire Ropes, Shackles etc.)

WHAT IS THE VALIDITY OF YOUR CERTIFICATES?

For Accessories (e.g. Wire Ropes, Shackles, Eyebolts, Lifting Belts etc) the certificate is valid for 6 months & for equipment (e.g. Fork lifter, All types of cranes, vehicles, elevator lifts etc.), the validity is for 1 year

DO YOU PROVIDE TRAINING & CERTIFICATION TO OPERATORS AND RIGGERS?

Yes, customized training for operators regarding safety and operation of equipment with certification valid for 1 year are provided.

DOES TRAINING FOR INSPECTION TAKES PLACE IN YOUR OFFICE?

No, due to the involvement of practical work, the Training & Certification is provided at client’s site.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE OF INSPECTION?

Once the job is finalized, the inspection plan will be shared to the client and the team will reach the site on the designated time. Further procedure for inspection is different for every equipment.

HOW MUCH LOAD IS REQUIRED FOR LOAD TESTING?

The amount of load depends upon the capacity of the equipment; standard practice is to test the equipment on its rated capacity, (i.e. the capacity mentioned on the equipment or by the manufacturer)

4. Calibration

WHAT CALIBRATION SERVICES DO YOU PROVIDE?

We provide calibration services in following areas:

DO YOU PROVIDE ONSITE CALIBRATION?

Yes, we provide onsite calibration, however user will be responsible for removing and re-installation of test equipment. 

DO YOU PROVIDE ACCREDITATION CALIBRATION SERVICES AUTHENTICALLY?

Our reference equipment is traceable to international standards and our staff is qualified enough to take up calibration activity.

WHAT IS CALIBRATION

It is an activity where the instrument under test is compared to a known reference value/ higher reference standard.

HOW CAN I REQUEST FOR CALIBRATION?

CAN I SEND MY INSTRUMENT DIRECTLY TO YOUR DEPARTMENT FOR CALIBRATION?

Yes you can send your equipment at our location, however client will be responsible for any breakage during transportation.

DO YOU PROVIDE CALIBRATION REPORT AFTER CALIBRATION AND HOW MUCH TIME IS REQUIRED FOR REPORT SUBMISSION?

Yes we provide calibration reports within 5 days after calibration activity is done.

WHAT IS THE PAYMENT PROCESS?

Payments are decided at the time of proposal approval. While payments are received at the time of final report submission, however in some cases 50% of payment is submitted at initial stage of process.
